Kochi Hub WAR - 2021

WAR is an IEEE Kochi Hub Student Branch Cluster Competitions. In this, all the Student Branches under the Kochi hub have been divided into 10 clusters. Each SB has to conduct an event during this period. Points will be awarded to each cluster for winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, and also a maximum of 50 points will be awarded for participation. There will be two types of events i.e., it can be either individual or cluster-based. After the completion of all the war events, the cluster that has managed to gain the maximum points will be announced as the winner.

IEEE Kochi Hub is back with the much-awaited Technical Carnival HACK KOCHI 3.0 partnering with ORE Training Program and powered by IEEE MACE SB.

WIE Code 2019 | Kochi Hub

WIE Code was an online coding challenge conducted by the ORE Women under the patronage of Kochi Hub as a pre-event to Hack Kochi #2, a 24 hour hackathon that provisioned a platform for innovative and creative minds among women tech enthusiasts to showcase their pioneering ideas.

Hack-Kochi: Hackathon Python & ML

ORE, the Technical Community of IEEE Kerala Section in association with IEEE Kochi Hub conducted Hack-Kochi, the first hackathon of the season on May 18th, 2019 at the Kerala Startup Mission on Machine Learning and Python. The hackathon began at 10: 30 am with a brief introduction about the company by Mr. Jyothis K.S. The participants were given two problem statements well explained by Mr. Deepu Xavier to complete by the end of the day. Lunch was served at 1:00 pm and a half hour break were given for refreshments. The contestants were allotted time until 4:30 pm. This was followed by individual presentations of ideas and program codes. The panel allotted 24 hours for 3 people who made significant progress and by 6:00 pm, the event was officially concluded. Prizes and certificates were distributed later.

WIE-Learn: Mentorship program for Girls 2019 | Kochi Hub

The technical community of IEEE Kerala Students and IEEE Kochi Hub along with WIE (Women in Engineering) affinity group organized an online mentorship program, called WIE – Learn, with the aim of promoting the recruitment of women in technical disciplines. The training program started from WIE week and continues till the WIE summit 2019.

Minerva 4.0

IEEE Kochi Hub conducted it’s most prestigious and very own WIE Event of all times, Minerva 4.0 on March 15th, 2019 at Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology, Vazhakulam, marking the end of the WIE WEEK 2019.

WIE Week Activities 2019 | Kochi Hub

As part of celebrating the International Women’s Day, IEEE Kochi Hub implemented a week celebration under the banner “WIE Week” in all student branches, mainly intended to bud engineer’s. The celebration extended from March 5th – 15th. for WIE week was “Balance for Better Technology for Future”. More than 30 events were conducted across different SBs of the hub. Different type of events includes were graphic designing workshops, International Womens’ Day Celebrations, Quizzes, Talks and much more. WIE week saw an active participation of all SBs towards conducting events that focused more on Women in Tech.
